First of all, you certainly didn't "discover" Genesis, they made you take notice, and as much as they acknowledge your initial push to get the band started and recording, you really need to acknowledge that what they became is 180 degrees from what you'd have made them into if you and the band hadn't parted ways.

Secondly, PLEASE stop making excuses for your dalliances with underage boys. You hide behind the fact that many of the same boys kept coming back for more, and that you never "forced" yourself on any of them. Let me remind you that while "force" and "seduction" may be two completely different ways to take advantage of the innocent, seduction is no less abhorrent.

I'd wager that many of your victims wouldn't have given you a second glance had you not been a "pop star" at the time, and quite a few had probably never entertained even the slightest notion of being buggered (or buggering anyone) before you turned the relationships into something sexual. In many cases, I'm sure you exploited the fact that many public school boys had been left with no other alternative but to shag their own kind while boarding, so they were probably a bit easier to convince, just as ex-cons like yourself who are forced into buggery are more prone to voluntarily repeat the practice (although usually just for the sake of actually being in control of such an activity, which eases the emotional pain of having previously being forced to participate).

To paint your victims as "false accusers" is ridiculous, although the sad part is that you were probably more naive than they, and therefore most likely believed that they really loved you and let you probe their bodies out of some kind of mutual attraction. You need to realize that people will do a lot of things when plied with gifts, and because a young man is too weak-willed to refuse a sexual advance because it might mean losing a valuable record industry contact, it doesn't make him a "willing participant". The fact that you go so far as to paint your victims and Seung Hui Cho with the same brush just reveals how irretrievably arrogant you've remained, even in the face of your being nicked and publicly humiliated (if not so much by the "Jonathan King is a paedophile" quips than by the queries of "Jonathan WHO???")

I'll close by saying that I catch the implications of your caricature and the "Deep Throat" moniker, and if you really don't want to be seen as "evil perverter of little boys", you might want to consider removing those from your website. I don't doubt that you might have earned that moniker by eagerly devouring little willies, but I trust that in prison you found some companions who were sufficiently endowed as to test your reputation in that area. Yes, it's perfectly possible that Genesis would have happened without my involvement. Indeed, they might even have selected the same name, though that would have been a huge coincidence.

But I think your assumption that the band would have dropped their intended careers and become pop stars is as off beam as your other ones.

"Underage boys", unless you accept the wrongful convictions (which you are quite entitled to do; many trust the judicial system completely) were either "under 21" or of any age at all (since there was no age limit for gay sex until 1967 - it was all illegal). To be honest, there was too much homophobia connected to that rant by the 'Genesis fan' and a lot of what JK said was true about that. To make comments about public school boys at boarding school was pretty way off the mark. If you are bi-sexual, homosexual or hetrosexual then that is the make up of the person, as opposed to the environment you come from.

Sounds to me, that this guy was more pissed off, with the fact you discovered Genesis and decided to use the homophobic rant.

I've said it before, that we all have opinions and I didn't have an issue with thinking you are guilty because everyone has a right to express their opinions.
(no matter how appalling he/she sounded and playing the homophobic card). However, it has appeared that he has a grudge against you, which made it a bit tainted.

When you were convicted in 2001, I did wonder myself if JK was guilty, but in April 2005 my opinion started to change when you were released and as I am a Mirror reader, Richard Stott's article about you.

When that awful documentary came on last October, I started to believe that you were innocent, due to the fact that their were too many false accusers appearing on that show. Especially that 'pervert in the park' incident, which was out of order to say the least.

I would say that JK was guilty of one thing and that was believing that the documentary was going to create a positive impression of him. I did wonder why he never pulled the plug on it, although I do believe that Channel 4 and Hornby were painted in a worse light.

As time has drawn on, I believe that you are 100% innocent, as one of the incidents took place when you were in USA and were not allowed to bring it to court, so therefore I go by the opinion that as you are a 'celebrity' , you were made an example. My other reason for believing this, is that you are continuing to fight your case and are helping others as well. I do not believe that anybody would carry on to the extent you have, so rather than go by trial by media, I go by my gut instincts.

Most of us are here because we believe in justice,and have grave doubts about JK's conviction.Many of the allegations were thrown out of court as ludicrious,and only a few were convicted on.Well immediately that must cast a doubt in ones mind.The same people brought all these allegations to prosecution,yet most were proved nothing short of the inventions of overactive minds!

You can't judge anyone by sensational media reports Genesis Fan-and I know 2 innocent people who have ended up in jail and I know a whole lot more who are as guilty as sin who have never been near a court.

This thread was posted when I moved to Southend but I didn't have internet access then but would like to add something to this and say what I think of JK.

I want to say that I have done all my homework and read lots about JK's (in)famous case in his interviews and media.
I don't think JK did wrong; he admits what happend but to to me it seems that it's no worse than Elvis or Bill Wyman. Wyman is still popular; people sort of talk about it but not as much as JK - maybe it was only one victim and admitted it openly. I have always used the pedo when someone has sex with a child not someone who is 16.

Firstly you can't believe all in newspapers; they can get things wrong and twist things round to make it sell.

Secondly I got the X-mas card which had the original controversial photo of JK in Hyde Park, but what was on there was probably more true than in The Sun.

And, lastly, if JK didn't go to court or prison then I would not have heard of him. I discovered JK when it was on TV that JK had been arrested but it just went way over my head and I didn't take no notice as the name didn't ring any bells. When Sainsbury's banned his latest single, which he posted on his hompage, I was very impressed. And bought the box set and still listen to it - it has so many tracks and lots of genres of music.

Since this thread was posted JK has done OK for himself now, with a movie and 2 CD's.
