Quite dull to watch it was too. I support neither team but as a fan of good football allways look forward to a good tie between these two, and it was all overshadowed by Jose`s dismissal, so it`s too early in the day to see which way things will go for the Blues.

In contrast Man City and Fulham was magic to watch.

I really think I'm backing Sven this year.

Must be fun if you live in Manchester!

Quite possibly, although yesterday was yet again turned into a fiasco by the referee. The first half hour was good then we had the Mikel incident which was never a sending off, Giggs tackle from behind which was worse didn't even get a yellow, the goal came a minute after the two minutes injury time, Joe Cole should have been sent off for kicking your hero Ronaldo, ditto Rooney for an obvious second bookable offence. Saha's dive was so theatrical he looked like a sniper had got him and it was never a pen although I would have given the early one when Cole tracked back and mistimed his challenge. All in all one of the most inept officials since Graham Poll.

Fergie said it was the best Utd had played this season, if that's the case they will struggle to win it, for our part if Mr Grant stays in charge we'll be lucky to stay in the top 6. At the moment the Prem looks as wide open as it's ever been, obviously Arse are on a roll but it will be interesting to see them against a 'big' side.

Yes, come on you Gooners!

I agree Terrylamps, that the Arsenal are going extremely well. And that it will be interesting to see how we get on against the so-called bigger sides.
I think a crucial factor will be our ability to beat the so called "lesser" teams this season, because we struggled last season. We did win the big 4 mini-league though and as we are now likely to be able to batter the likes of Derby & Bolton then the league should be ours.

Looking at results since Terry 'Enry departed, and observing the way in which this young team have basically destroyed their opposition within the first half hour of play, I will go out on a limb and say we are probably going to win at least two competitions this season.

I'm hoping it's the league and european cup.

But I think it's fair to say that at the moment we are the 'form horse' both at home and in European competition. The way in which we destroyed Seville was particularly inspiring.

Only shame with Arsenal, is that they are a foreign club with barely any British players. I'm all for foreign players coming over, but I do believe that the main spine of the team should be British.

Can't argue about what a good manager Wenger is, but I feel it would be terrible for the English game if they won the League. I blame the Premier League as they should impose a ruling, certainly do not blame Wenger as they have done nothing wrong.

Interesting time will be January, when half of the team will play in the African Nations Cup, along with Chelsea, watch Man Utd/Liverpool take charge then as they don't lose anybody.
