Labour recruits election staff 16 Years, 7 Months ago
Looks like I was right - Beeb reporting that Labour has started recruiting election staff -

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7015995.stm

The PM has to give 17 clear days warning of an election - so has until the end of next week to plump for Oct 25th.

Having tried to embarrass Cameron with his support for Maggie - what about him calling the elction immediately before / after Cameron's conference speech next week?

Funnily enough I thought exactly the same ITK and I'm afraid, at the moment, if I voted at all it might be for Brown.

Can't stand Cameron. Voted Lib Dem last time simply because of their stand on Iraq.

Think they are all shit but at least Brown hasn't really blotted his copy book yet.

I believe we should all vote, even if it is for a joke party, or to spoil our ballot papers. There is nothing like apathy to encourage our awful politicians to continue treating us with contempt and dismantling our civil liberties.

I will be surprised if it doesn't happen. However such is the painfully poor opposition Brown might decide to leave it until next spring. Cameron is by far and away the worst leader the tories have ever had. Yep, even IDS had more clout! I still argue with many that the best leader the Tories never had was Michael Portillo. But I wouldn't choose Cameron to run a tuppence ha'penny tombola stall!

Yes I rather like Portillo too but it's interesting how much better he's got since he didn't have to worry about being a politician (and cover up all that awful bisexuality!).

WHY would he do that?

Surely he will "go" when the time is right for him (and the best time for him is when the opposition are in disarray !)
