TOPIC: Entertainment USA fans

Entertainment USA fans 16 Years, 6 Months ago
Many E-mails and messages from the excerpts I've put up on You Tube.
This is the story.
I gave my beloved Mum a videotape recorder in the very early days - taking advice, everyone told me that Beta was the format.

Of course it wasn't and I bought myself a VHS later on but my Mum recorded all the series of Entertainment USA on her Beta machine and that format has proven to be far greater quality.

So I now have all the shows on excellent quality tape and have converted them (at huge expense) to digital.

As an experiment I uploaded the Maui show (one of my favourites) which included a 1986 interview with Elton John to You Tube. Depending on the reaction (so far hundreds of views but I need it to reach thousands) I intend to upload more.

I've edited out copyright content like movie trailers, commercials and music videos leaving simply the material in which my personal copyright exists.

We purchased a betamax video recorder back in 1982 (well my dad did). Superb quality, far superior to VHS, unfortunately Sony didn't get the marketing quite right, and VHS dominated. I'm not sure where but somewhere..at my mother's house...probably stored in a box in her loft..there are some beta max tapes with some old TOTP and ET USA on them. I know for certain there's a betamax tape with the first series of Blackadder on it recorded back in 1983.
