So the coroner states and she is right.
Sally Clark was clearly murdered by the police, the legal system and the CPS.
So why aren't the guilty parties being prosecuted?
Answer - no accountability.

The death of Sally Clark is far easier to attribute than that of Jean Charles de Menezes.

As I live and work near Hatfield Peverel (where Sally Clark lived), this made all the local papers as well.

It was quoted as one of the great miscarriages of justice in modern British legal history, and another disgusting example of the justice system.

I found it very hard to write about it because it upsets me, thinking that she had lost two kids at a young age and then being imprisoned for 'murder', when it was total bollocks.

I could carry on, but I think the appalling standards of the justice system needs looking at.

Quite frankly, the whole thing stinks.

And I have to tell you, Mike, I met dozens of people I totally believe to be innocent who are in jail with lives ruined and have no hope of the truth emerging.

Sally would never have been exhonerated if Marilyn Stowe hadn't become determined to find evidence.

And there can be evidence when there is sadly a body.

But when no crime has even been committed how can you find evidence it never happened? And when you do find you were in another country at the time, they simply change the dates, saying "it's not when it happened but whether" that matters. And with one person's word being the only "evidence", it can only be disproved if they admit they were lying. A one in a million chance.

The standards of the legal system have been looked at, and criticised by a Home Affairs All Party Select Committee. Their investigation concluded that a number of people may have been wrongly convicted on the strength of false allegations, and they recommended that the government take action to prevent future miscarriages of justice. This was back in 2002. In response the government gave more powers to the police and eroded the rights of the accused even further.

I think that this government are fully aware of the appaling state of the legal system, and the number of wrongful convictions, but that their targeted conviction rates are of more importance to them. People are just pawns in the game.

Spot on Al and the MP bravely in charge (whose recommendations were totally ignored by her own party) was Claire Curtis Thomas from Liverpool.

I imagine every wrongful conviction, must give hope JK that you will have your verdict reversed. I cannot believe they still took an allegation seriously when you were in USA and did not take it into account at your trial.

You got 7 years and that teacher got over 3 years, yet am I right in thinking that their were no acts that you broke, when these alleged offences took place.

Sorry if I am sounding ignorant, but I just cannot believe that you were ever convicted of this.
