I can't stand the man, hate most of his policies but the dirty tricks (including using the False Allegations Industry) have been appalling. Colorado is one of my favourite states in America (I love Denver and support The Broncos) but the amendment was SOOO misused as are many other of the law suits. Who cares if he exaggerated the wealth he had? Who cares if he paid off a porn star? If I lived in Denver (mostly Democrats in my experience there) I'd vote for Trump just to express my distaste for Trump's opponents.
And the law suits are really "shooting themselves in the foot" by the Trump haters. Like so many British politicians, the numerous faults and character flaws - let alone policy errors - should be enough to defeat someone you don't agree with. But using legal loopholes and technical excuses is not just unfair but a serious mistake.
The problem is that our species is so superficial these days that they have no time or inclination for depth of thought. Democracy does not work when image and media cunning acquire votes.
Agree with you Col but also JK that legal trickery is not the way. Quite frankly, if Trump himself (he is odious if not actually evil *) is not enough to ensure he is not elected President, then the US has had it as a serious nation.
* this is based on watching Trump and his own words not the media.
Exactly how I feel WYOT - he appeals to bigots and racists and the far right - all of whom are entitled to have different opinions to mine but, if we feel strongly enough, it should be easy to defeat such positions. Sadly - the liberals (for want of other words) are not loud enough and we do not care deeply enough (possibly because we all feel there are shades of grey and that's not a passionate colour).
Example - I suspect the worst thing in the world at present is not Gaza or Ukraine but what is happening to the Rohingya. But I don't do anything about it because I have far too many other things that concern me personally.
If Hitler could have been defeated with a bit of 'trickery', I'm sure it would have been preferable to the holocaust. As a side bonus, the blitz would have been avoided.

What about black Trump supports and Hispanics?
They can be racist, small minded haters as much as anyone else....
Racist towards to whom?
Same as in the UK GM you have blacks looking down on Asians, Asians resenting the Polish, everyone currently racist towards Jews. Hatred is a human thing; not a race thing. And I dislike Trump because he exploits and spreads hatred.

You are going against the narrative now. People will call you a "Conspiracy theorist and a Right wing loon" Careful Wyot.
