Watching Deathly Hallows 2 for the dozenth time; I became a fan of the books in the Nineties when I read a glowing review in a tiny publication, Bought the first book and loved it. JK Rowling is a far, far better writer than given credit. The messages in the books are far more important than they may superficially appear.
From early on my favourites were Hermione and Nevile. Isn't JK Rowling fantastic? I love her Strike books too. From the first few words of the first Potter book I thought - this person is up there with Stephen King, John Le Carre, Graham Greene and others.
