I watched this for the first time recently on Sky Movies, and I have to say I really didn't get it. Some people regard this as one of the great movies of all time, but it didn't make any sense to me. The first ten minutes were vaguely interesting, with some sense of tension. However, it quickly descended into ridiculousness, with a giant metal spider and a metal scorpion going into Keanu Reeve's navel. Keanu's character had the option of taking a blue pill to end his nightmare or the red pill to carry on with the fantasy he was in. Remarkably he chose to continue the nightmare, otherwise there would be no excuse for this ridiculous plot. The Martial Arts scenes were preposterous with Reeves leaping 12 feet into the air with wires almost visible. Also, everyone is going around wearing sunglasses, when there is no sunlight. This film is all style over content, and I struggled to get through it in 3 or 4 sittings.

I thought it was garbage also Robbie. It felt like it was aimed for people little attention span. Lots of flashy CGI and a Nu-metal soundtrack.

It when I stopped listening to to critics. I though Independence day was another pile of wank and it bored me. I find Jeff Goldblum a hammy actor even The Fly was a bit camp in ways.

Randy Quaid in films is just Randy Quaid being himself.
