I'm no expert on War or military history etc but anyone else get the sense that warfare is changing? We have all these bombardments into Ukraine that kill 1 person and a dog and 300 missiles from Iran all dealt with, albeit with a warning they were coming.
Young men aren't willing to fight and die for politicians in this cynical age. Russian and Ukranian men desert battlefields. Great really, unless it puts pressure on the nuclear option. But surely no state is that insane?

I suspect you are broadly correct.
And if as we are told by many (not sure I entirely buy it) that all war is about money. Then great. There can be perpetual physical war everywhere with some making billions from missiles others shields/defence. They can just neutralise one another; a state of fissile equilibrium will unfold.
We will all get used to fireworks going off above us all the time as they rake the money in, but otherwise shrug it off. With the advance of bitcoin the money boys can eventually take their toys into a virtual world, and the sound of bird song will again be heard on Earth.
The one glaring obscenity is that all wars seem to be started by people who will never have to fight them so I applaud young men who avoid fighting.
I think the only amusing aspect - if there is wider conflict - will be seeing attempts at conscription. I think most young people will tell their countries where to go; and more power to them.
As an aside, it made me smile that as Israel launches a gesture missile at Israel, the article is not even in the top 10 most read on BBC news.

Top spot Taylor Swift album.
it wouldn't be the first time celebs have been used to push conscription. If you watch the early Abbott and Costello movies with the Andrews Sisters they are pretty much recruitment films.
