proves a great movie can still hook you for every second even after dozens of viewings.

Thank you Ch5 for giving us a far superior TV choice to reality TV and Strictly No X Factor Get Me Out Of Here.

I love that movie, but ad breaks have become so frequent and long that I rarely watch movies on TV these days. When I see one I'd like to watch I usually dig out the video or dvd and play that at the same time as it's being televised. On one occasion my dvd and the TV broadcast finished at the same time, and when I asked a friend I found there had been 7 ad breaks, so they must have cut quite a bit out.

I notice that ITV's own dramas, such as Frost, which are specially made for the two hour slot, now have to be cut to fit in due to increased ad breaks.

I will say thank you Ch5 if they ever get around to making it available in my area without making me pay for the privilege.

Anthony I heartily recommend Freeview which, for a tiny down sum, givs you digital TV and all the channels you could ever want.

Thanks for the suggestion, JK, but believe it or not, even Freeview isn't available yet in my area. I hope that gets sorted before the switchover otherwise I may have to bite the bullet and get a dish after twenty years of resistance.
