It's almost enough to make one form an army, storm the jails and release them. Shocking. Sick making.

Agreed and Starmer well versed in it all as a lawyer. Disgraceful. It was Labour as well who brought them in...Blair and Straw trying to look tougher on crime than the Tories...

Yes you are correct the Home Secretary was Blunkett not Straw...

Vile policy.

But part of the problem was the Judges handing IPPs out like smarties. The Government did not anticipate this. The second problem was under-funded prisons not running the courses the prisoners needed to demonstrate progression to a parole board.

Then there will be some who if they weren't too dangerous to release earlier will have been made so now because of the mental torture of the sentence.

But either way; they just need to be freed now.
