This is no different to how the Nazis would execute dozens of males in a French village in revenge for the death of a German soldier or an act of sabotage.

Netanyahu's cabinet members have demanded all Palestinians be wiped from the earth.

Netanyahu has now refused to allow sick Palestinian children to be evacuated because of the Golan attack.

Tens of 1000s of Israelis are demonstrating and demanding a ceasefire and for the Netanyahu cabinet to resign.

None of this of course is connected to the multi $Billions in oil and gas off the Gaza coast or the fact a Synagogue in Brooklyn is disgracefully selling Gaza seaside plots of land to Settlers.

I think Nazi comparisons are unhelpful because it allows those who on some level do not wish to wholly condemn the Israeli Government to point to the disparities in scale and manner of killings.

I think it is better to leave Nazis out of it and just point out that Israel, like Hamas and Hezbollah, are murdering fucking scum and need to stop.

That Israel is killing far more people is also - in one respect - not important because Hamas and Hezbollah would kill as many if they could.

People should draw unquivocable equivalences between murderers.

If Israel didn't fight back, the Hamas terrorists will win. If you don't agree with Israel being created in 1948 take it up with the U.N Hedda and the Germans.

All Palestinian produce must be sold via the Israelis. The Palestinians have no say how their harvest of olives etc are sold on the world market. They take the dribbled out pittances the Israelis grant them.

Those who work in Israeli must go through interminable check points and Israel has been killing Palestinians for decades with no consequences.

Of course people will rebel as Hamas has. you can be horrified at the Hamas atrocity and still understand people's mindsets that being unfairly kept in an city prison (let alone the 1000s of Palestinians who are snatched off the street and never face a court)..there will be an unwanted reaction.

The two US doctors who wrote this article (We Volunteered at a Gaza Hospital. What We Saw Was Unspeakable.) were interviewed on TV yesterday (partial interview below). One of them said that he'd seen children, even toddlers, with two shots, one in the centre of the chest and one in the head, which he said could only have been done deliberately by a sniper. He also told the story, which is in the article, of a Palestinian male theatre nurse interrupted while closing a wound on a patient by IDF soldiers, who told him to stop. He refused, so they shot him in the leg, breaking his femur. They'd then taken him to Israel and held him in detention for 45 days without food, just juice, while giving him no medical attention for his leg, which became badly infected. When they decided he wasn't from Hamas, they dumped him over the border (naked, says the article), after bashing him in the head with a rifle, which took out one of his eyes. He had then crawled 3 km for help.

Netanyahu is being very stupid. I think it far more likely he will find himself alone in the region if he carries on like this, rather than US/UK becoming involved in what would quickly become World War.
