For the Olympics to allow transgenders to compete against everyone (except, maybe with analysis and investigation) was always risky.
But the boxing today showed its compete irrationality. After 43 seconds in Round 1, a lady was hit with a force she'd never encountered - by a new lady/former gent!
A man can beat a woman up in public and win medals. Most of the time the guy would be in the nick.
Is the IOC going to normalise women beating? Give it time when the police are called for domestic arguments. Is the boyfriend or husband going to say they are now women and say they saw it on TV?
We can only hope this clearly wrong and dangerous lunacy leads to serious public debate on this issue. I was so bored with how the French, too, turned the opening ceremony into an identity politics parade. Not angry or exasperated, just bored.
Last year, Khelif was disqualified from the women’s World Championships in New Delhi for failing a gender eligibility test. At the same tournament, Taiwan’s Lin Yu-ting was also disqualified for failing to meet the gender eligibility criteria of the International Boxing Association (IBA). Lin is due to compete at the Olympics on Friday (2 August).
In my view, the opening ceremony was a magnificent showcase of Paris, although perhaps a bit long and blighted by the weather.
We were reminded of France's roll in world history - and of their heroes and heroines. And were entertained under the fabulous skyline. Better than a walk around a track.

in 2022 Irish woman boxer Amy Broadhurst BEAT Algerian womb-man Imane Khelif who has LOST nine times in her career to other women - not WANKAS
Born in Dundalk, near the Northern Irish border, Amy Broadhurst hails from a boxing family. She has been punching bags since she was five, encouraged to take up the sport by her father, and starting off at Dealgan Boxing Club along with her brothers Paul and Stephen.

Khelif speaks in this video at around 11 mins. Seems to have an indeterminate pitch of voice as to sounding male or female.
What a stupid comment. What idiot posted this? Oops, er, me.
Have since discovered that the International Boxing Association may not be reliable.
...The IOC last year stripped the IBA of its status as boxing's governing body over governance and finance issues, taking charge of the Paris Games boxing competition and applying eligibility rules from the 2016 and the 2021 Olympics....
And have also since watched this thought-provoking short film. Apparently some women can be masculine in appearance/demeanour - sometimes to the extent that they're mistaken for men - but still be women.
