My sister at very young age about 3 I think, poured a freshly made cup of tea over her self, she thought it was a cup of juice. She was rushed to hospital before being showered off. She had blisters/sores and covered in burns but was not scarred luckily.
I hope the little lad is ok is not scarred physically.

Sikhs carry Kirpans even in schools and work, but we never hear about incidents of them being used. In Sikism they can be used to protect themselves and the innocent from danger, even then it has to be used as a last resort.

What is causing the uprising in youth violence, surely it's can't all be about drugs. If you want to get in to drugs grow it yourself and avoid dealers.
If it's stabbing over a girlfriend, let the girl go with the so-called bad boy. It normally end in tears and an unwanted baby.
