Obviously the first reaction to this tragedy (and last night's BBC show) has to be pity for her loved ones. AWFUL. Next - this happens to so many others, most not even getting a mention in media but how awful for ALL those left behind after a tragic accident, suicide etc. THIRD - the ghastly ghouls who exist on the business of sucking blood and money from tragedies - the main champion being Mark Williams Thomas who was involved in my case in 2001. Only a brief passing glimpse of him on the BBC show (he'd be the star on ITV - as he was with Jimmy Savile). Why do ITV and the Mirror group continue to allow this appalling man time and inches? He was recently involved in the case of that poor boy who fell off a cliff. Come on Lady Karma - get working.

He talks a good game. Maybe that's all that matters to them.
Not sure if he's on This Morning as often any more. Judging by searches on YouTube for This Morning Mark Williams-Thomas and This Morning David Wilson, MWT hasn't appeared on This Morning for several years, though David Wilson has been on it several times in the past year. So it looks as if David Wilson may be their go-to criminologist now.
If Nicola Bulley had had a face like the back end of a camel, or been male and working class no-one would have given a damn. Other than the relatives. But as JK points out, that's not Bulley or her family's fault. Don't know much about MWT--but he sounds like everything that has been wrong in this country for three decades at least.

These should help fill you in:
jimcannotfixthis.blogspot.com/2015/02/suicide-is-dangerous.html (in the video below from 1:20 he rattles off two suicides, referring to someone throwing himself off a bridge; this suggests that MWT may actually have had three suicides "under his belt", if Adrian Stark threw himself off Beachy Head and Nick Drewett was found dead at home)

I cant find it now, so take it with a pinch of salt, but I read that MWT had financial interests in the body recovery firm that searched in the water.
He pops up everywhere.

There certainly seem to be results online of MWT defending Peter Faulding, who seems to have been in charge of that firm. I have a vague recollection of seeing tweets by MWT (before everything was hidden to non-Twitter users) indicating that he was working with some kind of ground-exploration firm as part of his cold case "investigations", but I'm not sure if it was that firm.

Maybe more important than his gift of the gab is the teflon-coating that seems to have been conferred on him by being perceived as having "exposed" Jimmy Savile. That often seems to be mentioned in articles he features in. And didn't he even get some kind of journalism award for the first and possible the second Savile Exposure programmes? So even if people feel he's a tad unreliable on other issues, as long as the Savile allegations are regarded as a Holy Grail that must never be questioned, he'll continue being given time and inches.
I don’t understand why the article above states that his “The other side of Jimmy Savile” programme of October 2012 led to the launch of Operation Yewtree. In his witness statement to the IICSA in 2019, former DI Paul Settle clearly states that he was asked to “run the Jimmy Savile enquiry” after his job at the 2012 National Olympics Intelligence Centre. Wouldn't this have been around two months earlier? www.iicsa.org.uk/document/hrp000001.html

Paul Settle's LinkedIn profile says he was Team Leader at the National Olympic Intelligence Centre from Apr 2012 - Nov 2012. uk.linkedin.com/in/paul-settle-683488130
The dates suggest that Operation Yewtree could have been launched as a result of the first Exposure programme, but two days later does seem very quick.
It's a AI trend Jo, seeing what you or a famous person looks like if they made an action figure out of you.
I ran a picture of JK in the AI action figure. AI made a gardener and a doctor action figure out of JK. Even though AI is still in its early days, it will be the future. Last year, with my daughter, I was watching some Kenan & Kel episodes she downloaded. Not my cup of tea
when I watched an episode called Futurama, they predicted what could have been the Meta Quest for VR. I had to Google the year of the episode, it was 1999.
I find it hard to sometimes to see what is AI or real. Cameras are high quality also, Musk wanted to delay the AI for several years and just keep it behind locked doors. Mark Dice called Musk "lunatic" before the left did.

He said that falling into the river was the least likely option (because this was the police's theory, and they were wrong, naturally). He also said she'd have sunk to the bottom if she had fallen in and not been dragged far downstream.
MWT is apparently concerned about false evidence in criminal investigations.
Given what AI now allows us to do, I am concerned how false evidence can be created or evidence changed in criminal investigations. I am sure to some degree this is already occurring

Anyone know what he's up to these days? As I'm not on X, his timeline shows as a jumble of random messages rather than being reverse chronological (assuming the jumbled format isn't one of Musk's "improvements").
