TOPIC: MRI Scan
#250262
MRI Scan 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I've never had one of these before - I thought they were called CAT Scans. Examining my brain, if they could find it. Lying still for half an hour whilst incredible noises try to pierce the eardrums. It's the final investigation to get details of my dementia. Quite a strange experience.

Incidentally; guess how much that 30 mins cost. £744!!! I could have bought a new brain for less.

I'm sorry to hear that you have dementia, JK. When you mentioned it before, I thought you were joking. I hope they can keep it in check.

I've had an MRI a couple of times and they plonked headphones on me and blasted pop music to drown out the sound of the machine. I could still hear it and was surprised at how noisy it was.

Such a cruel disease.

What worries me is that each knock on the head can increase the risk of dementia. This will include hitting your head on sheds, which I have done loads of times times and the boot of a .

Even the decades old playground scraps we had as kids can affect you later in life, if you have been hit in the head numerous times.

The human body is badly designed.

I wonder what both US Presidential Candidates would find if they took MRI's? Harris' would say BONKERS for supporting Israel and the crimes of Gaza. Trump's would say ALIEN LIFE.

Agreed GM. God didn't think his designs through. Our eyes are poor. We are virtually blind compared to other living creatures. Our eyes should be twice their size with scotopic vision. We are slow. Very very slow. Even most insects are faster, more powerful and better equipped. And we should hibernate. Conserving energy, reducing waste and helping the planet to detox annually.

God has a sense of humour, he even made a mistake by giving some poor souls Brummie accents.

Ears get worse over time, why did God invent cancerous cells?

It reminds me of Oh, God with John Denver.

If our bodies were sturdier, and lives not curtailed early, we would be like gormless teenage boys forever, destined to jump of cliffs because we dont see or care about the consequences.
