One moment he's on the verge of giving Reform UK led by Farage a donation alleged to be up to $100 million (£80 million) and now he's apparently turned on Farage in a big way and says he's not fit to lead the party and it needs someone else, all because of a minor disagreement over Tommy Robinson.
What's Musk up to here? He's playing games. Who does he suggest takes over then? He obviously doesn't grasp the appeal that Farage has in the UK to vast numbers. Nobody else would have achieved the Reform surge last summer that ended up with MP's.
Musk is wrong on this, and very disappointing if true.
You have to wonder why this has happened right now, just 2 weeks before Trump and his team, including Musk, assume power.
Certainly some weird statements and his "free Tommy Robinson" is so stupid as whatever one thinks about Robinson the government cannot free him and Robinson admitted guilt to defying court orders and was correctly jailed. One can question that sentence.
Do they have Royal Commissions in the UK ? I can't remember. They have them all the time in Oz for things like the grooming gangs controversy and they really work at uncovering the truth.
(I have no problem with Musk making Starmer uncomfortable)
One thing is for sure: I would never catch the same plane as Elon Musk.
No person is bigger then government and the "establishments" behind them whether it's the UK, USA, Russia, Germany etc etc.
No individual is more powerful than those establishments no matter how rich they are.
The question for me is just how much does Donald Trump listen to Elon Musk and is what Musk is now saying, something that he's trying to get Trump to think also, or maybe Trump is thinking the same on Farage, or possibly there is a fracture in the thinking between the two. Personally I'd be majorly surprised if Trump himself ratted on Nigel Farage like Musk appears to have done.
The tweet/X that Musk put out yesterday was so foolish I actually thought he was going to explain within an hour or two that his account had been hacked!
By the way Hedda, how refreshing to see someone acknowledge a political opponent's strengths like you did there even though you destest the man and his mission. If only more people could be that mature and reasonable. One thing though, as you are down under why does he have that effect on you, or are you just a native Brit over there for a bit, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks.
He's playing at megalomaniac divisive fascism. Twitter is now completely unrecognisable from what it was. Some of his posts verge on complete lunacy let alone ignorance and unpleasantness. Disinformation rules, without facts, without any basis on reality. Yep, the world is not a perfect place but I can assure Musk is not the answer. He makes Kim Jong Un look sane. God Save America. Oh...there is no God. Damn.

Sounds like nothing has changed then Cat.
It's either fact or fiction GM. No inbetween. Musk posts fiction. That includes his Yaxley Lennon defence.

Oh, do go on Cat.
I have seen the Tommy documentary films before he was locked up.
