Another Washington DC air crash in the icy Potomac river. 2 Weeks, 4 Days ago
The air crash of American Eagle Flight 5342 and the Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter into the icy Potomac river in Washington DC at 9pm on Wednesday night in the dark seems like a plane crash that has everything, a stone's throw from the White House, a mid air collision, a civilian airline and a military helicopter, Russian nationals on an American plane, and some who appear to be skaters including a wordl championship skating couple, whose lives ended hitting an ice covered American river, all just the week after Trump took office.
The crash is also strongly reminicent of another passenger jet crash that was highly newsworthy, I remember almost to the same week into the icy Potomac river in January 1982, that of Air Florida Flight 90 that stalled on take off - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Florida_Flight_90
Whoever said truth was stranger than fiction was spot on.

Give it time all future plane crashes will be the new normal like stabbings. They won't be much news coverage, you only hear only deaths in car crashes if there is a family or died or if some stoner killed others.
Most car accidents are just a hindrance to other road users.

He's such a low life.
I must admit I didn't like that. Even if it ends up proven that DEI positive descrimination policies are responsible (probably not) I don't think the day of the crash was the time to bring it up, or any time in the next few days or until we know what the black box reveals. Maybe he will fire all the air traffic controllers next a bit like Reagan did once.
I would be amazed if air traffic controllers were really being hired with visual or audio impairment difficulties. Weren't dwarfs mentioned too? I don't think height is a major requirement for the job is it, other than the ability of planes to be allowed to get more than 6ft off the ground.

I now can't get the image of midgets running airports Rich.
Midgets in wheelchairs etc, leaning over tables holding binoculars with difficulty and midget pilots who can barely look out the window. Then there's the LGBT air stewards handing out midget gems to passengers. Then football fans doing midget tossing.
Of course there's probably a DEI hire who can only speak Spanish or Portuguese if they are from Brazil.

Bizarre to even speculate as total amateurs (which Trump is also). I
Mind you this re-enforces (not that I'd be asked) why I'd never board a plane that either Trump or Musk were on. So many enemies.
Trumpy is now rabbiting on about how he will punish Mexico and Canada with tariffs (So many MAGA still believe the exporting country pays the tariff and not the importer.. don't they teach these things in schools any more?)
Talking of wood from Canada. He had real difficult looking for the word so he said the USA has plenty of "tree areas". That's forests to you and me.
I guess he's allowed some cognitive dissonance at his age (just like me).

I'm not going to listen to that because I've no idea who the hell he is. What was the gist of his argument then?
I was just thinking, there surely can't be too many internal domestic American flights that have both Russian and Chinese nationals on them can there? The passenger list for this flight is certainly interesting.
Re:Another Washington DC air crash in the icy Potomac river. 2 Weeks, 3 Days ago
There is something called dead wood, Hedda, which can be used to produce lumber and biofuels.
In my area, tree surgeons are cutting up a lot of dead wood from woods and ditches (not forests), which they are sending off to factories for processing into lumber and paper. They are also clearing the way for new housing estates.
I don't know what Trump means by export tariffs unless the USA pays the tariffs on the export of certain goods.

ABL is one my favourite Conservative Youtubers Rich, he has never played the race card. If you do something moronic if you are left, centre or right Black or White he will acknowledge it. I do like his deep dives.
Jericho Green is another one, he would make a superb Press Secretary.
From what I read and watched, the pilot with a trans with only 500 hours of flying airtime, the minimum is over 1500 hours before you have become a pilot. Training takes between 18- 36 months.
Sounds like Trump was right about DEI hires. DEI should mean Didn't Earn It.

Surely dwarfs can fly planes? Perhaps a specially designed cabin and control panel etc'? But the fact we are even having this conversation surely signifies how ludicrous things have become. People will always be different regardless of gender, size, colour...the ability or inability to do any job is down to just that. Ability. Not anything else. That is why Trump is being a dick.

It is an interesting documentary from Blaze. I went off the Blaze because Glenn Beck always flip-flops no matter the situation. He is the American Farage.
It shows how the FAA put DEI hires ahead of public safety.

A moron GM doesn't become smarter just because he's middle aged.
God help us now we are blaming midgets for an air crash. This is insane.
The majority of house timber in the USA comes from Canada not the frigging "tress areas" of the USA.
The timber industry in Canada and subsequent exports to the USA has been developed over 100 years.
Canadian forests are carefully managed to provide adequate re-growth. Any one who thinks the USA can replicate such an industry without decades of work has rocks in their head.
Lets not mention the NAFTA trade agreement between the USA, Mexico and Canada "beautifully re-negotiated" by Trump himself that runs to 2035.
Message to the world: Trump's word and his negotiations can be broken anytime by the Orange faced Crybaby.
The massive re-building necessary in California just got very expensive. Prices will have risen already even before tariffs take effect as importers stock up.
It would take decades to replicate a similar industry in the USA.
And that's before he begins decimating the main supplier of building employees- undocumented illegals.
These are not frigging YouTube pundits speaking..it's the US govt's own figures.
Trump can say anything and his slavish supporters will fall over themselves to lick his boots.
And not a one, not one single supporter can come up with a single explanation as to his almost daily lie in the lead up to the 2016 election that he would "build a wall on the border and Mexico would pay for it". It was a main campaign promise.
Or his blatant lies in endless TV interviews about his wonderful new health care system that had already been planned and costed.
It was all bullshit and people just blindly believe him now even though it's calculated he spoke at least 30,000 lies during campaign "promises".
I have never ever seen this level of lying from a politician in my nearly 80 years.
# Starmer comes close though.
I would just love, as I sit here with my "librul tears" which MAGA'S chortle about as they shoot themselves in both feet for one Trump supporter to actually explain why they accept such a level of blatant lying.
Just bizarre.
Midgets for crying out loud!
## Trump's most evil deception is the false hope he gave over the Gaza genocide when he obviously had planned with Netanyau to empty Gaza and the West Bank into neighboring Arab countries which will be accompanied by threats eventually.
## and his latest lunacy that the USA sent $50M worth of condoms to Gaza !
It was actually an area called Gaza in Ethiopia and a US health initiative to stem the rising cases of AIDs. God help us.

Funnily enough a family member said this today also, although we've had 4 since Christmas Day already.
I made an earlier comment about the plane looking like a missile rapidly diving into the ground and tonight an actual retired airline pilot has said the very same thing suggesting it was unusual. Planes don't normally crash like that, and so soon after take off.
