Bay City Rollers Documentary 16 Years, 3 Months ago
Great documentary from bbc2 about 70's bubble gum pop group the Bay City Rollers

www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/mainframe.shtml?...ml?radio2/r2_baycity

I'm too young to remember much about them, I was only a small child at the time. However their story is fascinating how they gained such hysteria amongst teenagers and their fall from fame and fortune.

It even mentions jk, who produced their first single, unfairly described as the king of the one-hit wonder.

Indeed yes, Robbie, I intend to listen.

And despite not only producing their first top ten hit but singing 13 of the 14 vocal parts on it, I've never been paid a penny of my 4% producer royalty.

Yes indeed ITK and though Les tends to blame Tam Paton, in reality BELL (Arista) was to blame - my contract was with Bell, Tam wasn't involved.

Interesting show - I was indeed dismissed as the King of the One Hit Wonders but that's not a title I reject.

Useful info Robbie - they played Jenny (the B side of We Can Make Music, the followup to Keep On Dancing, which I wrote and publish) in full.
PRS royalties please BBC!

Is there some rule about how long they play a song for before they have to pay royalties? The reason I say this is because Chris Moyles often plays snippets of songs and his producer has to write down the name of the song and how much of the song was played.

I hope the bbc cough up!!!
