I think we all feel for the families and friends of anyone who has died but most intelligent people fail to see how and why making other peoples' families and friends equally miserable benefits anyone except gruesome revenge seekers.

On the subject of people selling and buying sex, I can't think of anything I'd want less - very unflattering to my King sized ego - but if both parties want to complete a transaction, what's wrong with it?

Some of these parents claimed that they did not know what their daughters did. I'm not sure which is worse - being so estranged from your children that they did not actually know that they walked the streets, or knowing all about it and letting them get on with it.

I agree totally with Jk, if a woman wants to sell her body and a man wants to buy it/rent it, then where is the problem. I wouldnt use prostitutes myself because I think it's sad (like watching porn), however they do provide a good service. Most people want to have sex and some people can't get it through relationships, either because they're disabled, too busy, or just too damn ugly. These women are certainly no worse than promiscuous men or women.

I agree with you there (Except about agreeing with his opinions/fantasies ).

The idea that it is OK to kill prostitutes because they are prostitutes reveals a rather dark and troubled psyche.

That's not what you said...and I've lived in Bradford for 5 years amongst the unfortunates like these...yours is not an attitude born out of reality...this is not Victorian England...where a prostitute was thought of as a slab of meat fit for the Ripper...talking of the ripper I knew the family of some of his victims...hell I even knew 2 of his brothers from cottingley,and lived 2 streets away from his misses....you'd have been hung drawn and quartered for that attitude by the locals in Bradford for your attitude...and deserved ever bit of it!
Just because young girls make an unfortunate choice at a young age is no reason to condem their murder as justice....and I'm sure the people of Ipswich were not happy to see them gone...well not in that way...
...many girls are druggies,exploited by evil pimps,and can get off both the game and drugs with help...your daughter could just as easily become one,as could the children of anyone...I've seen all types plying their trade...and statistics prove that homosexuals are a high risk for disease...so do we cheer when they are murdered?

Well Pete, I don't always agree with ITK but I'm delighted he raises some topics others dare not touch and when one side of this argument (see the Sun today) go to one extreme I think it's good that someone goes to the other.

I, like most of you, don't agree that anyone deserves to die and ITK's language did go well over the top in his initial post but it has provoked more balanced discussion about the topic which now - two days later - has become the front page tabloid issue.
