Well, one of the times.

There am I strolling along the beautiful beach at the Hilton Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico, casting my eye over the talent looking gorgeous in bathing trunks, boys and girls, when BANG, I'd scored.

"Hello Jonathan" said Bruce Forsyth.

We're going back about 25 years here (as they did in court) and I was a young superstar in his thirties and Bruce was already a legend and superstar - just married to Miss Puerto Rico (so you can get the exact date from there) and relaxing between sessions of meeting the in-laws.

We sat down and had a couple of cocktails together and talked show biz and the Caribbean and life and love...

The only time I ever met the great man (I think - we may have done shows together - it's hard to remember, unless you're a false accuser).

Happy 80th Birthday Bruce.

I hope they do a similar tribute to me in 17 years time.
