Since they upgraded my broadband from 1MB to 2MB at the end of last year my internet speed has dropped to slower than dial-up. Today my download speed has averaged at 16.5kbps. I contacted customer support with full details of my problem, and today they replied that they could do nothing unless I supplied full details of my problem. The email began "Dear Member", so I guess it was a standard auto reply and possibly nobody actually read my email. I checked the broadband message boards to find many people experiencing the same problem. Telephone support, which is no longer free, seems to be based in India and there is an average wait of 20 minutes to speak to an adviser.

Of course, this means I can't properly listen to music online or watch video sites like Youtube. AOL is a very poor service at present.
