On a plus point if Russia, USA, Germany, Canada, Australia, France, Italy, Kenya, Ethiopia, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Morocco, Algeria and Poland withdraw, then Britain might get a medal or two.

Never trusted the Olympics. Drug addled athletes and politcal posturing by the hosts. Always been the same. 2012 is no different ( just look at the posturing by Ken Leavingsoon and Gordon already ) Boycott EVERY olympics I say - dont even watch on TV. I have to say on this one - whilst I totally agree with stopping tyranny and injustice, it is a bit strong watching the UK and USA so busily attacking the Chinese for Tibet after the Iraq situation. You should not only not watch a minute of it, but let the olympic sponsors know that you will be boycotting their products. Efforts will not be meaningful until it doesn't hurt somebody's wallet.
