April Fool in the Sun? 16 Years, 1 Month ago

An admittedly tiny story in the Sun about Amanda Lang, 21, being jailed for a year (6 months) for falsely accusing a 19 year old of rape...

they report these incidents so rarely (and so small) because they RUIN the BIG stories (woman raped, child abused, celebrity convicted)...

If their readers started to think that sometimes these crimes never happened...

Far bigger piece in the Mail - strangely, despite being homophobic and bigotted in many ways, the best paper in the country is also the only one which occasionally champions genuine miscarriages of justice (far more than the Guardian or Indie).
