was up to standard - what a terrific period series, so well written and a masterclass in acting from Kitchen.
What on earth were ITV thinking cancelling it.
Who was the wonderful masculine female actress who plays the Government/Home Office monster? She is really good and has been in several things and is always quality.
I'll bet Foyle's War returns in some shape or other.
But one does question Michael Grade's balance if he thinks the News At Ten matters but Foyle's War doesn't.
I was a little disappointed that we had an almost mirror sub plot to last week's episode, of a long lost husband, distrubed by the war, coming home without warning and being jealous of what his wife might have been up to; losing his temper with her then making up. I know this would have happened, but it was dealt with last week.
Apart from that, it was another excellent episode.
I noted that the announcer said it "might not be the end".
