Cooking stock and B.S.E 18 Years ago
Maybe I had headphones on at the time, but I certainly missed the announcement, which apparently was in 2004, that Bovril, would no longer have any meat stock in it.
I bought my first jar of this product, for heaven knows how many years, as I like to vary my stocks whilst cooking, and in true English tradition, spread some on the morning toast.
Whatever next? Vegetarian black pudding??

Much as I like to experiment... 18 Years ago
...I do so hate vermin. I swore I heard a mouse in the loft last night.ewwwww!
I am very much a believer in, if something is what you fancy eating, it is probably the correct supplement that your body requires at the time.
i.e, if you fancy a marmite or bovril sarnie, you are probably low on vitamin B12. For any asthma sufferers out there, did you know that potassium reduces lung inflamation? And can be found in banana and oddly enough, instant coffee, but not fresh coffee.
However, my theory, falls apart slightly, by a monthly craving for a fast food burger. I hate them every time I finish the soggy things, and yet I still suddenly have to drive up the ring road and get one.
Is there a vitamin called stodge, that I suddenly need?
Or is it the delightful and wasteful packaging?

Cannibals will be pleased to hear that !!!

On a serious note - beware of anything that comes from Mad Farmers - the ones who brought us Salmonella, E-Coli, Listeria, Anthrax, Foot & Mouth, vCJD, Mad Cow Disease (and others that we probably don't even have names for yet !)
