Man Utd 2-1 in full time , Ronaldo scores the final goal.
Anyone else dare to look silly after the final whistle?

I always support the London clubs (and the New York ones) but I fear you're right Mart - Man U will win, probably 1-0.

I'll be happy if Cristiano scores though. He is the best.

2-2 then extra time with Shevchenko scoring the winner for Chelsea.

Ronaldo will fall over a lot and be frustrated by the impartial referee. Ferguson will chew lots of gum. Grant will sit impassively. Terry will pick up an injury.

Small scuffles will break out after the game, but most fans will avoid trouble and be glad they didn't end up eight to a cell like the handful of their fellow Brits who were daft enough to take on the Moscow police.

Ronaldo will then spend a political few days considering the offer from Real Madrid before annoucing his move.

An unexpectedly fine first half. I hope the second half is as good.

Mart and Anders - you're predictions are still on.

Great stuff!

I`m still on target for my prediction.
Nice to see that Rinaldos` Portugal team mate walloped him one without thinking about a game past this one.

Well my 1-0 is out the window; I'd still love Chelsea to pull it off and it's a really good game so far but how about that Ronaldo header?

Mind you - that stunning save by the Chelsea keeper and Tevez missing that open goal - it could be 3-1 by now.

Both goalies are great. Don`t forget I once got into trouble by predicting in an England cricket match that the low order fast bowler would score 50 and save the match.
He actually got 49, but it was just one of those predictions.
If I get this result wrong, it`s a conspiracy!

Drogba - very close.

Still a cracking game - 80 minutes in.

Well I`m technically wrong now with my sweeping statement, so it`s anybodys.

Still going MU 2-1--Ronaldo though.

Hope it`s not penalties.

Ok it's 1-1 not 2-2, but the 90 minute draw was right.

Now bring on Shevchenko.

Still a terrific game 100 minutes in.

Why do all the Man U players look as though they have still got the price tags in their shirts?

Are they planning to take them back?

Yes we laughed at that too!

They must be a nightmare whilst ironing!

Oh well penalties here we go.
Drogba was unlucky to be signalled out, any number of the players could have been sent off at that point.

Hey! But the cup at least will come home!

Well a fantastic game and a fantastic shoot out - how awful it would have been if Man U had lost because Ronaldo missed!

Well, a cracking final.

I reckon both sides won.

It was a fairly good game all round, even though several of the players seemed to be struggling to last the distance. The fairest result would have been a draw, but that's not possible in a major cup final. So .. it went to penalties and the Chelsea captain missed the target. No shame in the keeper saving your attempt, but to miss the target is a disgrace. Pressure? He's paid thousands per week to handle such pressure. No excuses. It was a bad miss and cost the trophy.

Drogba wasn't unlucky to be sent off. Once he raised his hand, no matter how feeble the slap was, the ref was bound by the rules to give him a red. Drogba knew the rules. Again, no excuses.

Congratulations to Manchester United. I wanted Chelsea to win, but that's the way the game goes.

So much for my prediction. I don't think Shevchenko was even on the bench.

I don't support either team, but I wanted Man Utd to win.

I have a degree of sympathy for Grant who will get sacked for doing a great job. In my opinion,Drogba got himself sent off on purpose to avoid taking a penalty. Didn't like all the players surrounding the referee constantly, however, in hindsight added to a wonderful game of football.

I thought at the end that Platini was going to lift the trophy himself.

Agree about Ronaldo, however, his penalty was a touch of showboating, if he is not World Player of the Year for 2008 then their is no justice.
