Barry George retrial - almost no publicity 15 Years, 11 Months ago
Why? Because it's the same old argument (minus the one piece of prosecution "evidence" - that "gun particle").

Boring.

If it's not a great story, it's not worth covering.

Plus, of course, it does make the media look very stupid to anyone with any memory.

They have started to feature it on the BBC website.

Reading the piece, it would be seem that he was a guy who had a personality disorder and was not quite the full-ticket. However, a murderer?

If Barry George is found innocent, then will Crimewatch reinact the crime scene? Someone did it? And I don't think it was George.

I remember the interview the Police Investigating Office gave when Dando was killed.

He said " it was the work of a professional contract killer" " it was a clean hit leaving no evidence, again leading us to believe it was a professional assassin"

When he was asked if this was linked to Crimewatch the Officer did not rule it out.

Many days later after they had no evidence they basically looked for the local Mentally Ill patient and fitted him up to improve their clear up rate. A few photos of celebs at home were their evidence and a few boasts on the street by someone who they admit is ill about being in the SAS etc.

Everyone knows he is innocent.

No one has any trust or faith in the Police and the Juries follow the "gutter press" verdict and basically vote as if it were X FACTOR on what will please the readers the most.

He will be found innocent this time - poor man will never get over it and his life is ruined.

I was surprised to see it just as a passing headline on the news today. Isn't it blatantly obvious to anyone with a brain that Mr George was a convenient person to frame ?

Someone with a deluded mental illness like him wouldn't be denying the crime , if he'd done it.

I guess whoever really did it has friends in high places.

George left flowers!

news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7446174.stm

This re trial is proving thus far a complete farce. They are desperate. How is George leaving flowers at the murder scene ..evidence!?

Where are the experts to argue about the residue particle found in the overcoat? That is what convicted George and it is that evidence which is crucial in this case. It is not nor ever will be 'hard evidence' unless the police had found a weapon and matched the particle to it.

The experts re the residue will be part of the defence case. So far we are still hearing from the prosecution. They know the residue evidence will be broken down because this is the reason a re-trial was ordered, so they must try and convince the jury of his guilt using all kinds of other nonsensical arguments.

I have of course mentioned that in my 3.5 years inside I never met one single person amongst the hundreds who had met George who thought he was guilty.

This case highlights the appalling situation that our police and legal system only want convictions and don't give a shit about truth.

Aided and abetted by the media who just want a GOOD STORY.

Preferably with an unhappy ending - like poor Sally Clark.

The big question is - what is the person who DID kill Jill Dando up to these days?

Probably the same as the person who killed Milly Dowler - massacring more innocents whilst police arrest people who extracted milk teeth on the Isle of Jersey 300 years ago.

And nobody gives a fuck.

It shows how fucking desperate the prosecution are doesn't it? 'He left flowers at the secen of the crime m'lud!' So did countless others. They are either stupid, or as JK insists are all part of the big machine of injustice. What does surprise me is the silence of Dando's family and friends in all of this. Don't they want justice?
