JK for X Factor job 15 Years, 11 Months ago
The right man for the job. Would give Cowell, Minogue and Walsh a run for their money. It would never happen of course. Shame.

Nah, leave him as an indie, the credibility stakes are higher for this ideal at this time for his age group.

Three suitable judges for the X Facter would be Ron Wood, Tina Turner and Tim Rice. A good cross section of musical talent and experience.

I agree! Would certainly liven and shake up the show which has become increasingly boring and lame. But as you say, sadly there's little chance of it happening and so we'll be in for another long drawn out boring series followed by a crap Christmas number one.

The public don't like hearing the truth and the truth is JK could make a success out of anybody regardless of how little talent they had.

Can't they bring Tony Hatch out of retirement ? Mickie Most might be a tad difficult but 1 out of 2 wouldn't be so bad.

Simon Cowell gained a reputation as a nasty judge in the Pop Idol days, but now he's evolved into a hugely encouraging, honest and generally spot on guy.
He's still prone to moments of harsh criticism but when he says something nice, you know he means it rather than just saying it for the sake of being popular.
I've never met Mr Cowell, but I know people who have, and they ALL say he's a really nice guy.
2 people I'd like to see as judges on talent shows- one is JK- I've always thought his type of humour would work well, and the other is the late Anthony H Wilson, who very nearly did become a judge on Fame Academy but something happened and he was replaced at the last minute by Robin Gibb.

think of the amazing publicity it would generate ! The Sun would be beside themselves and wouldn't be able to stop talking about it !

I originally turned down the gig on Pop Stars and Simon Cowell was amazed (and decided to do it himself on Pop Idol).

Been there. Done that. Move on.

And I never move into things already done by someone else. I like to be original.

Simon is nothing like his TV persona - he's a gent!
