Oh God you'd have thought they would have learned by now.

Well I think they have but the compo combined with the headlines and the police kudos may have encouraged more than the honest.

Still, we must accept that some - a few - complainers may actually be genuine!

It always concerns me when Police appeal for "victims" to come forward. In a fair legal system, nobody should be classed as a victim until it has been proven that there has been a crime against them. Until then they are merely accusers.

Balance must be maintained.

These types of things are soft targets. If you work in a Care Home or in a school you come into contacts with hundreds or thousands of children in your job.

The Police are not prosecuting CURRENT offences at all as far as I can see from the press.

So in the Police's view there is no child abuse taking place at this precise moment in time ( give me an example of a big abuse case which has been relevent AT THE TIME of it happening ? )

What is the reason for this ?

Simple : the Police in my personal experience are heavily involved in organised Paedo Networks and are covering up their own. In addition they "allow" abuse to continue and dont stamp it out.

Example : My close friend's sister's daughter was sleeping with her father ( at 14 years old ) sharing the same bed in a one bedroom flat. He had already been charged for raping an 8 year old girl. The Police report said that they believed they were sleeping together with consent !!!! and both them and Social Services told that mother that if the girl DID NOT COMPLAIN there was nothing they could do about it.

Is that fair ? is that right ? I have collected many stories like this from friends and family. It seems epidemic. I have stories that are worse from Luton - Harlow - Enfield - Crystal Palace. Stories that involve judges - Chiefs of Police - etc being involved in Paedo activity.

I have reported it to the Police. Their response has been nothing. They wont do anything unless a "victim" complains.

This is why they pick on celebs and soft targets such as this Care Home. It makes the headlines and in the end no one will be prosecuted - but it ratchets up the fear and makes it look as if they are dealing with these things.

Our Police used to be reasonable. They are now a Government agency.

There are occasional cases where current care home staff are prosecuted. South Wales was a major incident, although that did also include historical claims among the contemporary. Also a big case in Gloucestershire where the school was forced to close, creating a major void in the care system.

I think the media focus more on the historical cases because they are less easy to disprove, and if things go wrong no current child is in the firing line.
