Barbury Crop Circle on p3 of the Mail 15 Years, 10 Months ago
If it was April 1st I'd understand; as it is, this is the most strong evidence I've seen of extra terrestrial existence.

I simply cannot believe an intelligent person with that knowledge of maths would have wasted time doing a crop circle.

There's more to this than meets the human eye.

Great story Mail and Dan Bates.

Well I`m very sorry JK, but to me, this is the most significant evidence that a bright student on a holiday has planned the job and pulled it off to perfection in this case.

An alien force would not point maths symbols at us as they would know that most of the human race are actually crap at maths:whistle:

Surely , they would turn the wheat or crop over and say "turn to wheatpage 3!", in a less cryptic manner.

No, no no, an alien force which managed to get here, would not be so cryptic as to use maths.
And if I am wrong, I dare the little green men to create the same pattern in Richmond Park using only grass and radiation!

Yeah great and well done piece, but ultimately bollix innit?

I simply cannot believe that intelligent aliens would travel thousands of light years across the universe just to waste their time making a pattern in a Wiltshire field.

Actually, the more intelligent extra terrestrial, would stamp out a simple message in the field saying, "Hey! 1+1 = 2, we get it! Yahey! By the way, we are from Jupiter, drop us an e mail at Alienzruz@Jupiter.jz."
Or maybe that would be too cryptic for the Daily Mail to invent a story around.....

Ah well you see Mart, I reckon other civilisations are so far ahead of us that our 2+2 is equivalent to their complex theorems and I think this is a clear message from a higher intelligence (looking at today's Home Office pronouncements, not difficult).

I would love to believe they would test us with complicated or maybe in their minds, simple maths, but I don`t.
It is more likely to me, that they keep dropping apples from trees , or maybe making fruit rot, as a means of communication.
There are so many simple signs, we may have not noticed that they may have left for us to notice them, but we may not have got the hint.( Isaac Newton may well have been close)

For example, the simple X Factor show.
This could well have been implanted in the writers brains to inform us of how how stupid we all are and that the greater entity(s,) want to really tell us about the universe.

That`s a minor opinion, any of our "natural" disasters , may well have been naffed up communication attempts that killed thousands.

A miniscule crop circle? Nah, that was a student awaiting results with his mates. This stuff always happens when Uni`s have finished and are waiting results.
I so want to believe in an alien force, but I don`t, it is a cinema and escapism fantasy.
If there are aliens, then there is a god I believe in, both of which probably coincide in some format, but having not spent 40 days in the desert yet, I believe in neither, except probably thirst and hunger after the undone event.
However, re- the Daily Mail, I am rather enjoying the Michael Caine dvds.(Is he an alien to?)

A man once said that the main evidence for the existence of intelligent life in space is that they haven't bothered to visit us yet.

He was probably right.

Crop circles are fun ! If aliens do Crop Circles maybe they are attending our Universities ?

I doubt if we are alone.

Anyone else looking at the MARS PHOENIX homepages - some interesting discoveries going on. Media has lost interest.

Evidence for me that under the surface of Mars are underground cities - there is "white plastic type" material being found under the rocky surface. With temperatures reaching - 100 C most days it would seem sensible for martians to live under the surface

If you misread the headline of the thread slightly, there is a piece of fantastic wheat advertising art so nearly there.

Would we all not like to see the Burberry crop circle?
It would look fantastic, an intricate tartan pattern stretching over the fields near Stonehenge!
And of course, would give students awaiting results a further thing to do whilst they sit it out.
