Media crammed with tributes to woman who died whilst employed to murder innocent people.

I'm really starting to despise our faithful obedience to hypocrisy.

I'm sure this woman soldier was as nice or nasty a wife/mother/sister as any other person killed in a road accident or from cancer or any of the other daily personal tragedies.

But it makes me vomit when someone employed exclusively to kill people is themselves killed. And we treat them like Mother Teresa.

I feel sorry for anyone killed but fail to see why a) their nationality or b) their gender should make me feel worse.

I would dispute that the British Armed Forces are employed to kill innocent people and if they are, with the resources available to them, they are not doing a very good job.

As part of the media coverage JK, you will no doubt have read that women in the forces are not used in a front line killing role.

What I don`t like jp, is that kids do not seem to realise that their good new,and "fun" job involves killing.
I am not happy with this "fight club, waged and fun time attitude",that sends our kids into a war that actually nobody recalls what is about????

When anyone, has to attend a funeral of one of these young people, as we have done, they will understand quite how horrible this , unending and unresolvable war is.

Or ,in internet speak, to the casual browser of web sites.......

WTF is this about war about anymore?

No winners................

I would argue that the media got this right. She was not a " killing machine " but a libetarian, trying to defend others not as priviliiged. Thats what makes it more poignant and newsworthy.
