On advice from the paper, I applied for a new 12 month interest free one, and cleared the offending beast by transferring the balance.
This will save 70 dead and lazy pounds a month.
There is a lot of panic about the so called "credit crunch", but if our eyes are kept open, there is money to be saved out there by using it against itself.
