Torres/Villa is a terrific weapon. Italy has a habit of getting through again and again.

I love Italy as a country, don't really like Spain. But I prefer Spain as a team.

If this is as good a game as the rest of Euro 2008, it should be fantastic.
I can't remember enjoying a contest so much in ages.

They just mentioned Italia 90 - I remember being at the semi final in Turin where England played really well but lost out to Germany in the penalty shoot out.

Well the better side won (Spain - at least they tried; Italy were awful)... but all us neutrals around the world (except possibly Wogan and the Binman) will be rooting for Russia who have played the game of the tournament so far.

That was actually shite entertainment though.
Let`s hope Wimbledon is better or I will have to continue to go through this gratias pile of incredibly poor quality Michael Caine DVD`s.

I'm sorry to see the Italians out, as I tipped them from the start, but yes, the Spanish fully deserved their victory tonight.

I agree that most neutrals, myself included, will be cheering on the Russians for their adventurous style but the logical tip is Germany now. They know how to win the big games and it is infrequent that they get this far in a tournament and fail to win it.
