TOPIC: 1st Anniversary

1st Anniversary 15 Years, 10 Months ago
Not important to anyone else except me. But it is the first anniversary of my contributing to these messageboard. Was a casual observer for about 12 months previous, and decided to ask JK a question regarding his appeal, I must admit I was surprised when I got a response from the man himself.

Have to say, I don't agree with what everybody says on these boards, but then wouldn't be a dull world if everybody thought the same. But I have really enjoyed reading people's opinions and have been surprised that JK has let people contribute with very negative views (I remember the Genesis fan last August). Mind you, in hindsight, not many other sites would let someone do that.

So here's to the 12 months, and thanks for making part of my day more entertaining.

And a happy one to you Mike.
I first contributed, as many do, during the Eurovision song contest with the silly words, which I recall well, of "I don`t think we are going to win this!"
I never expected a reply either and did not believe it was actually "yer man" ,as it were.
I do hope in the year in which you have been contributing , that you have found it a very chatty and generally uplifting message service.
No humans, will ever agree on everything, but can we imagine a lifetime on an island, on ones own, without even someone with bad hygiene for company?
We are not a solitary species , although we do need space at times.
I have said it before and I`ll say it again, some messages will often appear more aggresive or sometimes even more insulting than they were meant to be.
It is difficult to view peoples` different perception of the plain printed word.

I have, Mart, very much so. There are a lot of topics I enjoy reading and don't contribute to, sometimes it's time constraints or I'm not qualified to comment on.

It's certainly makes the day go quicker especially when you work in an office.
