I just decided, as it was a glorious morning at 10, to stroll across the park (I live on the cosmopolitan north side; not the posh and snooty Kensington side) as I had to collect something from the Royal Garden hotel.

Beautiful day; got there; decided the tapes were too heavy to carry back so got a taxi.

One minute later the heavens opened - a huge storm. When we arrived home ten minutes later it was glorious sunshine again but had obviously been raining as the roads were drenched.

April showers - in July?!!

We just had a heavy rain storm here up North as well. Our local weather man says we'll probably have this all summer.

Wonderful.

I blame Thatcher!

We are lucky here, it rains all night and is sunny all day.
