Saw Pete Waterman on BBC Breakfast the other morning talking much sense about the railways are deprived of skilled staff. Then this morning in complete contrast we see this cretinous government with plans for the millions whom have currently been festering away on benefits... they are going to make them sweep streets, paint park benches, and pick up litter. So when was being unemployed a criminal act punishable by hard labour within the community?
Surely it would be better to assess everyone who is currently without work and claiming benefits, discover their strengths and weaknesses, and get them into training where there are distinct shortages as Waterman highlighted?
There is no wonder we currently have problems with crime and disorder when people are swept under the carpet for years, and then dragged out and told they are nothing short of scrounging third class citizens who should be treated like 19th century imported negroe slaves.
