I haven`t seen it, I assumed the post was about Jack Bower(Keifer) from "24", who of course could be the worst door bell ring of your life.

Can you imagine it?
Ding dong............

"Hi, I`m Jack Bower.."

Run like the wind!!!! this could be the longest day of your life!

It's OK, but yet again we see fat middle aged white males looking and acting like slovenly slobs. So it still manages to portray that group in a demeaning manner. Bonekickers makes sure that the black characters are smooth, intelligent and cool. The problem with the BBC is that they are horribly guilty of pandering to the PC brigade. I guarantee that even on New Tricks you wont ever see a black criminal. Muslim criminal? Forget it. Now we have Trevor Phillips suggesting that many programmes are 'too white'. He uses The Vicar Of Dibley and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as examples of 'white TV'. He is claiming that such programmes alienate the black community. In fact he in turn is attempting to alienate the white community. But of course you can't use terms such as 'white community'. I am finding that more and more I cant watch the BBC without feeling I am watching a censored and politically motivated station. Breakfast News just winds me up now. I do believe there was a policy which called on library footage of school classrooms to make sure they had ethnics featured in them. Footage of just white kids were dumped, and replaced with mixed race classroom footage.

I spoke to a guy the other day who said that in all of his time as an archaeologist he has never once known a black archaeologist. Bonekickers has two. The first episode had maurauding Christians slaughtering peaceloving muslims.

The BBC are an example of how political correctness does nothing more than distort the reality and stifles creativity. Just because you dont have black characters doesnt mean you are racist or guilty of alienating minorities. Dr Who isnt cutting edge, its a politically correct load of rubbish.

I am slowly becoming allergic to the BBC.

The trouble with the Beeb, in my opinion, particularly in drama, is that we see the same old faces being re-cast again and again.
It used to feel like a comforting bowl of lentil and bacon soup, to watch, now it just feels to me, like "dang, I`m back with this lot again!"

It`s like turning the tv on and watching the same small drama club perform their latest production every week over the airwaves.

I don`t like myself for preferring USA drama work, but sadly I do.
I believe it`s the amount of variety and input on a show they have.

With the amount of freeview and digital channels we have these days (ok, most of them are useless), the Beeb are starting to look like a local channel.

You can't describe James Bolam's character as a slob as he is always well groomed and in suit and tie. I think it's great that the BBC make a series which puts older people in main roles and shows them in a positive light.

Is it possible that James Bolam doesn't want to return to the show? We often forget that these are actors who have other things going on in their lives.

In my opinion, New Tricks is a really great show and James Bolam will probably return in the next episode, as it is very realistic that the character is devastated that the guy who run down his wife got off scott-free.

The last episode I thought was very good.

It is one of the few shows that I actually care about the characters and gives a fabulous incite into their backgrounds. Alun Armstrong's portayal of Brian Lane is superb, especially last Monday.

I must admit that I find Amanda Redman very attractive as well, I am 35 and I do prefer the older women.

It's been one of my favourite shows ever since it started, I'm sure Jack will return next week, I agree about Armstrong (who was a great Squeers decades ago) and I too love Amanda who I admire hugely for not covering up her burn scars.

Very good actress, lovely lady.

I even like Dennis' theme tunes!

Ahem......

There we go again. "Dennis`s theme tunes..!"

Any chance of an "out of house" worker in the Beeb?

The theme tune is very catchy, but it does owe a bit to 'End of the line' by the Travelling Wilburys.
