It's a word now totally devoid of it's true psychiatric meaning and is used to include one person going with anyone under the legal age..which we know varies from country to country..13 years old up to 21 years old or in the UK if they were under 18 years old up until a few years ago when the gay age was changed to 16 at which time, presumably anyone who slept with a 17 year old was a peadophile one day but ceased being one the day the law passed !

Tabloids are responsible and in fact they do a terrible mis-service to children who do suffer at the hands of genuine peadophiles by watering down the meaning.

It's even worse when politicians who should know better jump on the bandwagon.

(and a "pedophile"-formely a lover of feet has also been tossed into the mix and most dictionarys include it as a spelling for peadophile-which it aint.!

Teachers who sleep with 16 - 18 year olds are paedophiles according to New Labour Laws.

Tony Bennett ( The Campaigner ) insists that MOHAMMED was a paedohphile because he married a 6 year old and consumated the marriage at 9 years old.

Culture is a very funny thing.

Lets be fair - the BIBLE says people should get married before they have sex.

So anyone doing this is breaking Christian and Jewish law. Yet MOHAMMED's actions were legal in the sight of God.

I think that everyone has to respect the law of their land - and that everyone should pay taxes and keep to the speed limit and so on. Therefore if we live in the UK then the ages of consent are set by Parliament and must be adhered to - anyone who breaks those laws has to accept that they will be punished - whether that is a ticket for speeding or jail for having sex with a 15 year old or an 18 year old if you are a teacher.

The "demonisation" of certain people by the media is actually totally wrong. BILL WYMAN had a relationship with a 13 year old girl as we all know and yet the media does not hound him like they do GLITTER etc. Very very strange - and I cant work that one out. Supposedly many prominent politicians also have engaged in these sorts of things yet none have ever been prosecuted as far as I know and the media does not seem to reveal any of their identities for some reason.

Trying to explain to them you aren't is not easy given their blinkered views so this article is a big help... when the accusation and supposition is made again, I know where exactly to point them.

Having sex with a 14 or 15 year old would still make you a sex offender whether they were male or female.

It would indeed and quite rightly too.

Remember it depends what country you are in and what the law says.

As I pointed out in some cultures marriage is the legal definition. Therefore many Westerners would be classed as Sex Offenders for having sex outside marriage.

In some of those societies the age of consent for marriage could be as low as 13 or 12 years old and those getting married at that age would not be seen as sex offenders.

Therefore the "21 Age of consent" for homosexuals was a law of the land - and this means anyone who broke it was a sex offender.

It is equally true that Tony Blair and the UK Government and Parliament ordered the murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraquis according to International Law. Yet they will not be prosecuted because they have "power and influence"

It is very much a case "ONE RULE FOR US - and ONE RULE FOR YOU"

Therefore as I wrote earlier Government ministers can frequent brothels with underage girls ( and boys ) and yet they are never prosecuted for these sorts of things - presumably because in the rooms next door there might be Journos from newspapers and Judges..........

Sort of makes you sick to know that the law is applied so unfairly and used as a method of control against the population by our "elite"

Remember the mother of JESUS was only 13 years old when she gave birth ( presumably the HOLY SPIRIT was a sex offender as well according to New Labour laws )

New Labour bends over backwards to preserve the rights of minorities to carry out their cultural identity. Many minorities do have arranged marriages which involve girls aged 12 to 14 being sent back to Asia where they are married off.......yet I dont see any UK courts taking any action about that - even when the girls are UK citizens.

We live in a Society where true love is not aspired to by anyone - and it is a mucky society which allows for so much genuine abuse of young people ( and Old ) yet picks on celebrities to spin the myth that we are "tough on crime"

But what if the other person they have sex with is the same age ?( a frequent event and which used to be quite accepted- if frowned upon).

The hysteria built up around this subject means that now in the USA both parties can get punished ( for doing what comes naturally) or in some states the male is viewed as the predator.

As in the case of 2 16 year olds (m/f)snapping each other on their mobile phones in saucy poses and then emailing them to each other-both were charged with producing child pornography and face being listed as "sex ofendors" for life !

The number of young people in jail in the US charged with sex "offences" is staggering. So many politicians use sex as a political weapon and give little thought to the harm they cause.

You have an 11 year old charged because he fiddled with his 9 year old brother and their Mum thought he needed medical help-but now finds him banged up in a child's jail and stigmatised for life.

The Netherlands used to have far more sane laws that considered all sorts of things in these cases-whether there was coersion, who took the first move, and so on.
