Moving along the same dismal road as music.

This is not the way to do it.

Sadly we've still not worked out how to protect copyright but that's something that has to be done given the new parameters.

All I do know is - it is madness to punish fans and supporters just because someone else (Bill Gates?) moved the goalposts.

We need to encourage more people to love music and then make the most of it. Just because the days of massive profits are over, we need not complain. Only the corporations are losing out - good riddance to people who entered the industry only to make money.

Two or three weeks back I read an interview with some Microsoft minion talking about their plan to create something totally new to replace Windows and all I can remember of it was this guy saying "We have to keep finding ways to keep on making money" or something along those lines.

Microsoft can never have enough money despite the fact they have such stupid amounts of it.

I just hate that greed mentality - I recall a businessman who won 14 million on the lottery and he said his ambition was to win the lottery again because 14 million was "not enough".

I couldn't agree more and I look forward to the day the last greedy record company bites the dust.

All they do is take take take-rip off artists and customers alike. When was the last time a record comany actually did something to benefit young people ? NEVER is the answer!.

Pursuing this person is ludicrous, but what annoys me is that well funded record companies-just like the huge French & Italian conglomerates who make "luxury" goods use our policing forces to do their work. Serves them right for outsourcing to Asia and using slave labour to make over-price "brand" names. Finding themselves ripped off is a just desert for down-grading their own products.

The sooner artists just deal direct with their fans-the better.
