Healthy competition... 15 Years, 8 Months ago  
Watching Russia coming up below us in the Gold medals, I hope we stay ahead but there's nothing wrong with healthy competition.

Russia beat us in Eurovision for one reason - their entry was far better than ours.

We're beating Russia at the moment for the same reason - we're (astonishingly) better than them.

The British Olympic Committee might be secretly hoping the Russians do catch us up. If Britain comes third in the medal table, then such amazing over-achievement would leave no room for improvement for 2012, at least in terms of the medal table.

No way anyone can get ahead of USA and China.
