From what I have read here and there, Sandie is doing extremely well and has a very busy life and schedule.

Actually seeing this tantalising clip brought to mind another TV show JK and Sandie appeared on but sadly not on screen at the same time.

The BBC online archive trial last year featured all manner of gems from the archives, one of which was the second edition of "A Whole Scene Going" from January 1966. It opens with that glorious clip we've all seen of The Pretty Things rampaging through "Midnight To Six Man".

JK appeared as part of a panel answering letters from teenagers and sat beside JK were Michael Crawford and I think, Pattie Boyd. There was one letter from a teenager asking how to go about getting signed up in the music industry. JK answered that he should go direct to the record companies whereas Crawford and Boyd disagreed with JK and suggested getting an agent first would be a better idea! It actually gets a bit lively because of JK's advice!

The show climaxes with a charming film about Sandie who is then interrogated by the studio audience. In the film, Sandie said she trusted nobody and Manfred Mann singer Paul Jones razzed Sandie about this and poor Sandie ended up being given a bit of a hard time as one participant complained all her records sounded the same because they were written by Chris Andrews. When I watched this I felt really sorry for Sandie even though it was 41 years later!

So there is at least one other show featuring both JK (pre beard!) and Sandie though they don't appear together.

Goodness me - nostalgia time.

They were happy years but these are just as good.
Do check out the Archive links - some are quite revealing.

Sandie Shaw is an absolute legend. Her recording of the Smiths' 'Jeane' is better than the original.
