My entire band, of which I am working with met via the internet, I would be interested to hear from other bands that did the same, as I think it would make a fun article.

we're not a band but there are 4 of us all writing CD cover notes and researching/compiling for various record companies. We all made contact through the net as well.
How did you meet? was it deliberate?

Actually it was desperation on my part! The bookings had come in, and and I had no `staff`, and so I scanned the most obvious links I could think of to find the musicians that I needed.The usual fixers had everybody busy, and I wanted people that were available for the whole date sheet and, bingo! it just worked. And a very inseperable bunch they have all become too. I have toyed with putting music together over the net by everybody, adding a bit and passing it on but I havent done it as yet.
But in answer to your question, as to how we all met, I searched for musicians, and all the musicians had advertised for work independently on the net.

Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie (great name!) has a side project whereby he and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello record and send each other the vocals and music via the post (hence their name) but never actually meet?

In a similar vein, I was sent a demo, only 4 weeks back, I liked the song, and on my email reply, I indicated that I liked singing it, and within two days, the vocal was replaced by my vocal.
