I've loved every King Kong re-make-even the box office duds but I reckon Peter Jackson's version is absolutely brilliant. Love Jack Black and Naomi Watts is lovely-lived with Heath Ledger and now married to actor Liev Schreiber.

I went to the premiere in Sydney and the after party and I can see why the actors were chosen to be the Hobbits (including Orlando Bloom)-they were all tiny and Elijah Wood is almost a miniature person.

gratuitous gossip: a friend who worked on the crew tells me Elijah Wood and Dominic Monaghan from Lost were very "close".

She was brillinat in "21 gramms" with Sean Penn. Well worth a view.
