Global Cooling - more evidence 15 Years, 8 Months ago
www.dailytech.com/Article.aspx?newsid=12851

The current weather systems around the World all confirm as well that this year is very cool !

The Global Warming Tax Lobby will be very very upset at this apparant shift in temperatures.

I remember the initial "greenhouse effect" studies in the early 70s that predicted Global Warming BY the year 2000 !!

That is why it is laughable the current "Neo Con" rush to try and persuade us that we are getting hotter when the reality will be if the sunspot activity remains non existant that we could be fighting a new Ice Age within the next 50 years if the current cooling trend continues. Nature is MORE powerful than anything that we can currently pump out.

and more porkies told by AL GORE in his INCONVENIENT LIE film

www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/main.jhtml?vie...09/04/scigore104.xml

We need to develop clean fuel - how about Wind and Wave power ? rather than rely on OIL - certainly our bus and lorry fleets in Europe should be run on clean fuel rather than diesel or any other OIL.

We need less pollution and cheaper energy which does not damage the natural environment.

The one thing that is not needed is to TAX THE POOR to raise money so that the rich can carry on polluting.

I remember the initial "greenhouse effect" studies in the early 70s that predicted Global Warming BY the year 2000 !!

These studies have been proven right:
"Since 1979, the size of the summer polar ice cap has shrunk more than 20 per cent."

It must be remembered that for the vast majority of the earth's existence, there has been no ice and this situation is sure to return eventually whatever we do.

In the 70's we were being warned of an impending ice age. Why be sure that scientific forecasts are any more accurate in the long term this time? There is still a school of thought that we are in a recession of an ice age. If this recession were to end, we would be left wishing we had pumped more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere!

BR is right on the money here. Climate change, whether accurately assessed by scientists or not, is being used as a tool to oppress the masses, whilst big business continues doing just as it likes.

And as for cleaner fuels, has the government not committed itself to more nuclear power in the future? Well that might be cleaner in terms of climate change, but I'd rather take my chances with that than depleted uranium all over the place. Not to mention the risk of a self induced nuclear holocaust. However safe you make something, if anything can go wrong, eventually it will.

I think that we have to look at Sunspot activity or lack of - and then compare the solar activity graph with global temperature - then we realise the climate is effected MOST by er....THE SUN ( the big yellow thing in the sky not the chip wrapper paper )

I think nuclear is not a great idea either in the long term. Especially for a small island like the UK which could become uninhabitable if something does go wrong.

We have the ocean surrounding us and many tidal estuaries and though the initial investment in tidal power would be large - it would provide us with non stop energy forever.

Add our rivers ( and we have great rain and fast flowing full rivers ) to water power and we already have the ability to gain loads of power.

I cant understand why we dont have every home built with Solar Power as part of its design and every old home converted. The Sun is not going away either.

We easily have the means to create our own energy.

We could even create road surfaces which could convert road tranport friction into energy if we wanted to......all energy is transferable.

YET because big business wants us to use and trade oil we are stuck with the dirty black stuff. Global warming is not caused by you and me. It is caused by Government Policy. They could end it tomorrow but the do not want to change.

So now global warming is happening?

Make your mind up

BTW the thing you posted was wrong when you last posted it and it's still wrong.

Global Warming IS happening - but Global Cooling is BIGGER !

The Global Warming from CO2 is bad for the environment and is not good for the earth's resources.

However, to tax people is wrong.

In addition the Sun's activity has a bigger effect than all the CO2 being pumped out. Therefore the current Sun activity could be seen as a counter balance in nature to the current Global Warming.

Funny how GOD intervenes !

I have a theory on this for the future.

Why can`t we start with offering an option from electric companies to down phase electricity current supply, as an option originally from our current UK power of 240 to 120? And then eventually change it all over over a long period of time?

Electrical items surely are more efficient these days and so many of them come with power supplies anyway to reduce the power to the units.
I`m never sure about the global warming effect, I see evidence, but then I just see rubbish on TV and in the papers about and of course paranoia.
Either way, I do not believe that in this day and age that our electricity voltage needs to be as high as it is.
Certainly, we could run on a lower wattage per household. This is not a subject close to my heart, it just seems obvious to me.
