TOPIC: Tiny rape story in the Sun

Tiny rape story in the Sun 15 Years, 8 Months ago
Ann-Marie Gough falsely claimed she'd been raped and has been given 3 months... these stories are slowly starting to make the papers, even though in miniature pieces.

Just imagine the vast majority who don't get found out and never admit they lied.

The false allegations industry is Britain's fastest growing (and least publicised) crime area.

Why so little coverage? Because it undermines the entire judicial system. It draws attention to the fact that sex convictions need no evidence.

If so many can get away with it, just think of the innocent men and women in prison.

One of the most shameful actions of this government is that they ignored of the findings of the Parliamentary Select committee which warned of serious miscarriages of justice from false allegations of sexual abuse. The failings of the legal system have been known for some time, and the government have only acted to make convictions easier, despite knowing the consequences.

I seriously believe that this makes the government directly responsible for wrongful convictions and they should be charged with perverting the course of justice.

Interesting story in the Guardian that 40% of "memories" are false.

A new study by the University of Portsmouth found specific details of the Tavistock Square bombing were totally imagined.

Our memories always exaggerate everything - just listen to anyone in old age talking about war experiences or their sporting abilities when young......

Therefore I am not suprised 40% are wrong and possibly a further 40% are exaggerated beyond what actually happened. Especially in people who have sad and lonely lives where not alot happens.

No case should go to court if it is over 5 years old and certainly no case should go to court if it has no hard evidence.......otherwise our justice system is a sham.

Never should ONE PERSON's word be enough to arrest or prosecute anyone or a collection of people - because we all know the compensation culture which leads people to make illegal insurance claims.

The state is being pumped by unemployed attention seekers who want to make some money. The bigger the lie the easier it is to actually make it stick without evidence. Therefore celebs are the biggest target - followed by those who have daily contact with Under 16s ( teachers - vicars - care workers ) because they cant exactly say they were not there when it is their job to be there.

Unless the legislation is tightened up in future we will see more cases come to court - because today's kids are taught New Labour morals which is "to screw others for money in any way possible and not worry about the consequences "

I am very fearful for the UK's future. No wonder many English people are leaving - and they are the ones with money and sense. It is turning into a PRISON ISLAND where our NEW LABOUR LORDS are turning us all into fodder for their crazy social engineering projects.

I have scoured The Sun looking for a news item on midget rape and have found nothing. The title of this item is misleading.

"New Labour" Govern the whole of the UK. Its not only the English who are leaving. Sorry BR, but given the way the media treats anyone outside the South East, i find that type of comment quite offensive.

More English are leaving the UK than Welsh, Scottish or Irish. This may be because, while Labour do rule from Westminster, those other home nations have their own parliaments which can provide some relief from Labour's policies. The English do not have that benefit and are stuck with everything Labour throws at them. Scotland even has it's own legal system.

Given the population count in England, its hardly surprising more English are leaving. However, There are many other Uk residents leaving too. For the very same reasons.
