Food post tonight - weekend treat 16 Years, 10 Months ago

Two succulent, under done roast grouse (grice?) wrapped in crisp bacon with delicious (I hope) Harrods made mashed potato with horseradish, green sprouts, bread sauce and a glass of iced white wine to wash it down.

It was fun shopping in Harrods. We may be in the middle of a credit crunch but El Fayed is doing fine - the place was packed and throbbing.

Credit crunch is not effecting London much at all - people are still spending. It is investors and those on low incomes who have had the double whammy of rising utility bills ( 30 % ) and rising food prices ( 10%) without seeing any corresponding rise in low wages ( 2%) or benefit ( ? % ) Enter code here Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

There is a treble whammy thing going to happen here. People earning "cash" are going to spend it without paying it into a bank or anything causing an even lower economy, thereby lowering credit ratings even more.
