Food post tonight - weekend treat 15 Years, 8 Months ago
Two succulent, under done roast grouse (grice?) wrapped in crisp bacon with delicious (I hope) Harrods made mashed potato with horseradish, green sprouts, bread sauce and a glass of iced white wine to wash it down.
It was fun shopping in Harrods. We may be in the middle of a credit crunch but El Fayed is doing fine - the place was packed and throbbing.

Credit crunch is not effecting London much at all - people are still spending. It is investors and those on low incomes who have had the double whammy of rising utility bills ( 30 % ) and rising food prices ( 10%) without seeing any corresponding rise in low wages ( 2%) or benefit ( ? % )

There is a treble whammy thing going to happen here.
People earning "cash" are going to spend it without paying it into a bank or anything causing an even lower economy, thereby lowering credit ratings even more.
