TOPIC: Will Brown go? Won't he?

Will Brown go? Won't he? 15 Years, 8 Months ago
It's a total, absolute, 100% non story - invented and created by the media who want...

A GOOD STORY!

We are seeing the harmless trend in every day life - the media good story... but is it harmless? No, it's not. It sent me to prison for 7 years for crimes THAT WERE NEVER COMMITTED.

And it is distracting attention from the absolutely vital area of sorting out the appalling economic crisis.

It may be 90% media enhanced, but the Brown situation does remind me a lot of Callaghan's last days, especially as we are in a similar economic crisis with winter approaching. I think Brown will go but only after several more pushes. Even his own party recognise that he is a terrible PM, and more people are now realising that he frightfully mishandled the economy - giving it a superficially healthy appearance while recklessly plunging the nation into debt.

Brown is our PM - good or bad, who cares? We ain't getting anyone else - let him get on with sorting out the massive problems we are facing (Lehman Brothers? My God - it's going to get far, far worse before it gets better).

Although, of course, Brown Assassinated is A GOOD STORY and that's all the media wants.

It is what Conspiracy Theorists call a FALSE FLAG story.

There is no story.

The massive financial crash taking place at the moment is the biggest story outside of war events since 1929. It is earth shaking and is set to collapse our financial systems because they have been built on money that does not exist.

Basically the banks have been chasing round packets of debt like a hot potatoe game. These debts are now sticking and threaten our very society and way of life.

Brown's role in this is complicit - but so is every other economy in the World. Together they could destory every person's savings and pension schemes this next few weeks.

So what does the BBC cover......Brown leadership bid by some back benchers who we have never heard about before ? Very poor attempt to cover up the main news.

And I hate to say it but my comments in another thread (that got me a lot of flak) are coming true.

The basic problem is - we cannot and should not live on debt.

We should only ever spend money we have earned.

I have never, ever, for one day or one week, been overdrawn.

From what I've seen the massive finacial crash is the main news story on all channels. The Brown debate is much lower down the billing. Not much of a cover up really.

Yes - I don't think it is a cover up nor intentional - I just think "a good story" dominates all other considerations.

I agree. To be in debt and to continue spending on unnecessary things is not something to be proud of. I too have never been overdrawn.

I think where we disagree here SW is on the meaning of the word "necessary".

To me, a tiny room is fine as living space if that's all you can afford.

I suspect you'd say "no I need a house with 6 rooms so I'll get a mortgage and pay the bank..."

Which is where trubble kicks in.
