TOPIC: Scouts and me
#36358
Scouts and me 15 Years, 6 Months ago
Before this Vile Pervert came along, the most famous Vile Pervert to attend Charterhouse School was - founder of the Scouts, Baden Powell.

So I'm not surprised Scouts now get sex education.

I always thought that was part of the essential basics.

Surely encouraging Scouts to have sex at 10 years old is intentionally breaking the law ?

The "they will do it anyway" argument by Peter Duncan does not add up.

If people break the law then we ENCOURAGE them to break the law.

I would like to see LAWYERS start to fight these PAEDO cases on the basis that the Legal Age of Consent as set out by the Government is only advisory because all the other things they encourage for Under 16s seem to be designed to make it easier and preferable for them to have sex.

Our government is putting condoms in the hands of kids and sex help - it is like giving heroin to a drug addict and saying this will cure him. Their hormones are ready and willing but they cant make good decisions.

This is a PREDATORS charter in my view ( Sorry JK ) and undermines Scouting as an alternative to the Sex and Drugs Society that New Labour sponsors.

it's a true story !..

apparently Lord Baden Powell, when he was a major in the Boer War, told a friend how he planned to go back to the UK and start an organisation where he would take young lads out to the country camping, swimming and having fun etc.

His friend replied :"you could get ten years for that".

This thread has stirred some memories for me. I remember being on Cub camp and being told about the birds and the bees by some adolescennt Scouts. Terribly exciting albeit a tad confusing. Ironically, the troop Scout leader went on to be a convicted paedo. I had a friend who once considered being a Scout leader but got itchy feet because of the stigma that surrounds the Scout movement. Sad.
